One thing I do well when blogging is spell words correctly.

My next step is to use capitals and lower cases in proper places.

NZ Identity. -Parliament-

In NZ Identity I am learning about Parliament which is teached by Miss O.

We learnt about who is the speaker in Parliament and is the leader of the house.After our first lesson we were told we were going to do a Kahoot! quiz in pairs or threes. I paired up with Joseph Trick. We had to chose a name so we called ourself Bill English who is actually in Parliament. We won the quiz because got them all correct apart from one.We are having another Parliament lesson today.

Koru Games 2015

Over the last 3 days.....

I really enjoyed scoring a try because me and one other person were the only people to score a try.

I really improved on playing dummy half.

Overall I found the Koru games fun and well organised.

Discovery

WALT:Make up a question and research it.
My next step is.... to add more info into my chart.

Math Reivision Sheet

WALT:Learn percentages of amounts.
This is my maths revision sheet.I Found Some of this difficult but most i found easy.One of the questions I found hard was: There are 40 yr 7s at Happy Hill Primary.15 of them have brothers or sisters at the school.What % have brothers or sisters at the school? I answered 40%but the correct answer was 37.5%.

Te Reo

In Te Reo the subject has changed from weather, too Health/Sport (Hauora). One question is He aha te mate? That is pronounced. he aha te marty.You can respond by saying Kua Mamae taku puku!

Reading

In Reading the programme has changed so we have the same book for TWO weeks not ONE week. On the first week we have to complete our before activities and inference. On the Second week you have to complete your teacher activity and Must Dos. Personally I prefer the new way.

In writing we are writing speechs.I am writing about Dogs Are better than cats.This is my speech writing so far!

Science

In science today we but different things into red cabbage water.Some of the things we put in the red cabbage water were apple,lemon,salt,yogurt,sugar,oven cleaner,jiff and many more things.

Writing Goals

My Puntaction goal is Commas and Contractions.My Main Writing goal is Ideas.

Maths goal

My new math goals is Classify numbers by factors and multiples including primes.

A School Goal

My goal is to speak for at least 2 minutes at the speech competion in our class.

SDL

In SDL we have to complete a maori weather report,our careers board,maths sheets,check our careers writing has no mistakes and do a research assignment on an animal of your choice.

Learning License

i am a independent learner. Everyone started on independent but some moved up to mobile while some people moved down to regulated and even moved down to teacher.Let me tell you a bit about the lisences.

Mobile:

You can learn any where in the school with permission. Only about 7 people have made it too Mobile.

Independent:

This where everyone started.Can do everything but can only learn in our classroom.About 25 people are here. This is where i am.

Regulated:

 You are told where to sit.Not the best license but not the worst about 9 people here

Teacher:

The worst license to have.You have to be at a desk or near the teacher and can have NOONE sitting near you.About 4 people are here

My Measurement Goal is.....

Writing

In writing we are writing about a career we would like.I chose a Police Officer.When were done we will show our findings at a career expo in the school hall.We show our findings on a presentation board at the hall.

Pals

On Tuesday i ran a Pals game with Jack R and Brooke we did a game of octopus with the Kakanos.Some of them got a wee bit upset when they got tagged but we let them no be tagged.I enjoy doing Pals its fun running games for little and big kids.

Travelling on the bus to Lincoln

I am being respectful on the bus by only talking to the person beside me.And Lincoln Tech I am doing woodwork.We Are making boom boxes.

Discovery (Making An App)

In Discovery Me,Victor and Matthew are making an app.We are trying to make a game but the game won't be really complicated but won't be to easy.We are still deciding about what type of game to do!

Kapahaka

Every Friday I do Kapahaka. I am in the learning group.We learn the actions instead of peforming it at festivals like the peforming group.At Kapahaka we do actions to Maori Songs.

Wainui camp 2015

I am looking forward to Wainui camp because we so heaps of activities like coastearing highropes and kayaking and much much more.I am in a bunk room with 3 other people. We go next wenedsday

Multi cultural day

on Monday there was a multicultural day at oaklands school.There Was a shared lunch.We also played Some games from a different culture.We came dressed in our cultural clothes .

PALS

On Tuesday the 17th of February I had my turn at running a Pals game with Jack R and Brooke.

We decided to do a game of Soccer. Jack R and I had whistles to blow if we needed to pick up the ball. About 15 people came to play our game of Soccer. The score was 1-0. We gave everyone who came to play 1 Pozi for playing and more if they made a special effort. I Enjoyed running the game of Pals and look forward to doing it again.
